TL;DR: In this paper, metal-free organic phosphors based on a molecular design that supports efficient triplet exciton harvesting to enhance radioluminescence have been proposed for X-ray imaging.
Journal ArticleDOI
Confining isolated chromophores for highly efficient blue phosphorescence.
Wenpeng Ye,Huili Ma,Huifang Shi,He Wang,Anqi Lv,Lifang Bian,Meng Zhang,Chaoqun Ma,Kun Ling,Mingxing Gu,Yufeng Mao,Xiaokang Yao,Chaofeng Gao,Kang Shen,Wenyong Jia,Jiahuan Zhi,Suzhi Cai,Zhicheng Song,Jingjie Li,Yanyun Zhang,Song Lu,Kun Liu,Chaomin Dong,Qian Wang,Yudong Zhou,Wei Yao,Yujian Zhang,Hong-Mei Zhang,Zaiyong Zhang,Xiao-Chun Hang,Zhongfu An,Xiaogang Liu,Wei Huang,Wei Huang,Wei Huang +34 more
TL;DR: In this article, a simple chemical strategy for achieving high-performance blue phosphors, based on confining isolated chromophores in ionic crystals, is presented, which can suppress non-radiative recombination channels and increase the phosphorescence efficiency of blue-emitting heavy-atom-free emitters.

Amorphous Ionic Polymers with Color‐Tunable Ultralong Organic Phosphorescence
He Wang,Huifang Shi,Wenpeng Ye,Xiaokang Yao,Qian Wang,Chaomin Dong,Wenyong Jia,Huili Ma,Suzhi Cai,Kaiwei Huang,Lishun Fu,Yanyun Zhang,Jiahuan Zhi,Long Gu,Yanli Zhao,Zhongfu An,Wei Huang,Wei Huang +17 more
TL;DR: This finding not only provides a guideline for developing amorphous polymers with UOP property, but also extends the scope of room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials for practical applications in photoelectric fields.
Journal ArticleDOI
Organic Room Temperature Phosphorescence Materials for Biomedical Applications
TL;DR: A review of the recent developments of organic room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials applied in the biomedicine field can be found in this article, where the basic mechanism of phosphorescence and various strategies of modulating the lifetime and efficiency of room temperature organic phosphorescence are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular Engineering through Control of Structural Deformation for Highly Efficient Ultralong Organic Phosphorescence
Zheng Yin,Mingxing Gu,Huili Ma,Xueyan Jiang,Jiahuan Zhi,Wang Yafei,Huifang Yang,Weiguo Zhu,Zhongfu An +8 more
TL;DR: By bridging the carbazole and halogenated phenyl ring with methylene linker, a type of RTP phosphors CzBX shows high phosphorescence efficiency, which is much higher than that of compounds CzPX (X = Cl, Br) with C-N bond as a linker.
