Journal ArticleDOI

Alloy Acceptor: Superior Alternative to PCBM toward Efficient and Stable Organic Solar Cells.

TL;DR: The alloy acceptor (indene-C60 bis-adduct (ICBA)/[6,6]-phenyl-C71 -butyric acid-methyl-ester (PC71 BM) is employed to replace the widely used fullerene acceptor in organic solar cells based on five different polymer donors, which exhibit a higher efficiency and much better device stability than the PC71 BM counterpart.
Journal ArticleDOI

High‐Performance Polymer Tandem Solar Cells Employing a New n‐Type Conjugated Polymer as an Interconnecting Layer

TL;DR: A new n-type polymer, PF3N-2TNDI, with high electron mobility, is developed as efficient cathode interfacial material and interconnecting layer (ICL) for constructing high-performance tandem organic solar cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

A pentacyclic aromatic lactam building block for efficient polymer solar cells

TL;DR: A D-A conjugated polymer (PThTPTI) was developed by using a brand new pentacyclic aromatic lactam acceptor unit (TPTI), which possesses good light absorption, thermal stability, and a deep HOMO level as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

A lactam building block for efficient polymer solar cells

TL;DR: A new lactam acceptor unit, [7,7'-bidithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]pyridine]-5,5'(4H,4'H)-dione (BDTP), was developed and is one of the few D-A copolymers with PCEs of over 9%.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Photovoltaic Properties of Low Band Gap Polymers Containing Benzo[1,2-b:4,5-c′]dithiophene-4,8-dione

TL;DR: In this article, Cao et al. presented a 4-8-dione containing Benzo[1,2-b:4,5-c′]dithiophene.
