Modified user-dependent perfect-scheduling multiple access protocol for WLAN

TL;DR: By analysis, the optimal contention access period length for the given polling period length is found, and the performance evaluations show that UPMA++ protocol has a high throughput, low average message delay and small average message dropping probability.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Deep Reinforcement Learning based Compute-Intensive Workload Allocation in Data Centers with High Energy Efficiency

TL;DR: In this paper, the actor critic based compute-intensive workload allocation scheme (AC-CIWAS) is proposed, which can both guarantee the Quality of Service (QoS) of workloads and reduce the computational energy consumption of physical servers.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Delay-aware User Association for Caching Enabled Small Cell Networks

TL;DR: Numerical results show that the local delay performance is improved under delay-aware user association strategy, especially for high signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) threshold.
Journal ArticleDOI

Maximum Flow Routing Strategy With Dynamic Link Allocation for Space Information Networks Under Transceiver Constraints

TL;DR: Simulation results show that the proposed dynamic link allocation strategy can significantly outperform the fixed link allocation Strategy within each time interval.
Journal ArticleDOI

Observed interannual relationship between ITCZ position and tropical cyclone frequency

TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the effect of the ITCZ position on TCG on the interannual time scale using observations over 1979-2020, and showed that the TCG frequency is significantly correlated with the intertropical convergence zone position in the North Atlantic (NA) and Western North Pacific (WNP), with more TCG events in years when the ICTZ is further poleward, while the relationship in WNP is due to TCs formed in the east sector (140-180°E).
