Journal ArticleDOI

Energy Efficiency Architecture Design for Heterogeneous Cellular Networks

TL;DR: A systematic architecture is presented to efficiently utilize network resources and thus improve the overall energy efficiency and a use case of the presented OCRT green design is provided for energy efficiency optimization in a cognition-and-cooperation-characterized HetNet.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient resource allocation scheme for multi-service based on interference mitigation in LTE-Advanced networks

TL;DR: A macro services guaranteed resource allocation scheme, which can mitigate various dominant interferences and provide multiple services in macro/femto overlaid Third-Generation Partnership Project Long Term Evolution-Advanced networks is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Energy Efficiency Optimization for Compact Massive MIMO Wireless Systems

TL;DR: Numerical results illustrate that when MC is modeled, the proposed EE-BF&AS algorithm outperforms conventional related approaches in EE and can be constructed to make MC less serious and let the relevant energy consumption decrease.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Spectral efficiency optimization in caching enabled ultra-dense small cell networks

TL;DR: An analytical framework is presented to evaluate the spectral efficiency of content caching and retrieving in ultra-dense small cell networks (USCN) and it is shown that, given the amount of cached content, area spectral efficiency (ASE) of USCN would diminish to be zero with over-deployment of BSs and users if content retrieving is not properly designed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Performance analysis of improved ZF algorithm for massive MIMO in uplink

TL;DR: An improved version of the zero forcing (ZF) algorithm is proposed, based on that new expressions for BE are derived, and results show sufficient improvement of performance in terms of BE.
