Plasma MicroRNA Panel to Diagnose Hepatitis B Virus–Related Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Jian Zhou,Lei Yu,Xue Gao,Jie Hu,Jiping Wang,Zhi Dai,Jiefei Wang,Zhiyong Zhang,Shaohua Lu,Xiao-Wu Huang,Zheng Wang,Shuang-Jian Qiu,Xiaoying Wang,Guo-Huan Yang,Hui-Chuan Sun,Zhao-You Tang,Ying Wu,Hongguang Zhu,Jia Fan +18 more
TL;DR: A plasma microRNA panel that has considerable clinical value in diagnosing early-stage HCC is identified and patients who would have otherwise missed the curative treatment window can benefit from optimal therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
A plasma microRNA panel for early detection of colorectal cancer
Shuyang Wang,Jianbin Xiang,Zhaoyong Li,Zhaoyong Li,Shaohua Lu,Jie Hu,Xue Gao,Lei Yu,Lei Wang,Jiping Wang,Ying Wu,Zongyou Chen,Hongguang Zhu +12 more
TL;DR: A plasma microRNA panel that has potential clinical value in early CRC detection and would play a critical role on preliminarily screening CRC in general population is revealed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adjuvant transarterial chemoembolization for HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma after resection: a randomized controlled study
Zheng Wang,Zhenggang Ren,Yi Chen,Jie Hu,Guo-Huan Yang,Lei Yu,Xin-Rong Yang,Ao Huang,Xin Zhang,Shao-Lai Zhou,Hui-Chuan Sun,Yan-Hong Wang,Ning-Ling Ge,Xiao-Yu Xu,Zhao-You Tang,Wan Yee Lau,Wan Yee Lau,Jia Fan,Jiping Wang,Jiping Wang,Jian Zhou +20 more
TL;DR: For patients with HBV-related HCC who had an intermediate or high risk of recurrence after curative hepatectomy, adjuvant TACE significantly reduced tumor recurrence, improved RFS and OS, and the procedure was well tolerated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expression of aquaporin 5 increases proliferation and metastasis potential of lung cancer.
TL;DR: Evidence is provided for AQP5‐facilitated lung cancer cell proliferation and migration, possibly through activation of the EGFR/ERK/p38 MAPK signalling pathway, but why AQP1 or AQP3 but not other aquaporin expression affects the EG FR/ERk/p 38 MAPK pathway still needs further exploration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Concurrent hypermethylation of multiple genes is associated with grade of oligodendroglial tumors.
Shu Min Dong,Jesse Chung Sean Pang,Wai Sang Poon,Jie Hu,Ka Fai To,Alexander R. Chang,Ho Keung Ng +6 more
TL;DR: Several candidate tumor suppressor genes such as p16INK4a, p15INK4b, and p73 that were previously reported as unmutated in oligodendroglial tumors were found to be hypermethylated in their CpG islands.
