Single Image Defogging Based on Multi-Channel Convolutional MSRCR

TL;DR: The proposed method based on a multi-scale retinex with color restoration (MSRCR) of multi-channel convolution (MC) can outperform state-of-the-art methods in both qualitative and quantitative comparisons.
Journal ArticleDOI

Underwater image restoration via backscatter pixel prior and color compensation

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper developed a restoration method based on backscatter pixel prior and color cast removal from the physical point of view of underwater image degradation to solve blurriness and color degradation issues.
Journal ArticleDOI

Classical and state-of-the-art approaches for underwater image defogging: a comprehensive survey

TL;DR: In this article, the authors classify underwater image defogging technologies into three categories, including image restoration approaches, image enhancement approaches, and deep learning approaches, then summarize the shortcomings of the defogging approaches for underwater images and propose seven research directions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Auto Color Correction of Underwater Images Utilizing Depth Information

TL;DR: A novel color correction method for underwater images is proposed, which removes color cast on single pixels based on scene depth, and the experimental results demonstrate that this approach can significantly improve the color effect and provide a correct input for the subsequent underwater image defogging methods.
