Experimental research and operation optimization of an air-source heat pump water heater

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental set-up and simulation model were constructed to optimize design and operation strategy of air-source heat pump water heater, and a methodology of optimizing operation, which takes into account thermostatic and timing control patterns, was presented and applied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Engine performance and octane on demand studies of a dual fuel spark ignition engine with ethanol/gasoline surrogates as fuel

TL;DR: In this paper, a modified dual fuel spark ignition engine was used to study the performance of port injection of ethanol and direct injection of gasoline surrogates (toluene reference fuel).
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental studies on the key parameters controlling the combustion and emission in premixed charge compression ignition concept based on diesel surrogates

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the cetane number and volatility of diesel fuels on the combustion, emissions and load range expansion of the premixed charge compression ignition mode were studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combustion and emission behavior of N-propanol as partially alternative fuel in a direct injection spark ignition engine

TL;DR: In this article, the combustion and emissions of n-propanol/gasoline surrogates were studied, and the results showed that the blends with higher proportions of NPs lead to higher maximum in-cylinder pressure, higher incylinder mass averaged temperature, shorter flame development duration, and shorter rapid combustion duration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Computer-designed surgical templates improve the extraction of impacted supernumerary teeth in the hard palate.

TL;DR: 3D printed surgical templates reduced trauma and increased the accuracy and predictability of surgical extraction of bony impacted SNT in hard palate to reduce surgical trauma, duration and uncertainty.
