TL;DR: In patients with metastatic melanoma, obesity is associated with improved progression-free survival and overall survival compared with those outcomes in patients with normal BMI, and that this association is mainly seen in male patients treated with targeted or immune therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
A systematic review and meta-analysis of surgical treatments for malignant pleural mesothelioma
Christopher Cao,Christopher Cao,David H. Tian,John J. Park,James S. Allan,Kristopher A. Pataky,Tristan D. Yan +6 more
TL;DR: Patients who underwent extended P/D had lower perioperative morbidity and mortality with similar, if not superior, long-term survival compared to EPP, in the context of multi-modality therapy, which may represent an important paradigm shift in the surgical management of MPM.
Journal ArticleDOI

Long,Georgina V. Long,Alexander M. Menzies,Alexander M. Menzies +28 more
TL;DR: Patients with HIV or hepatitis B/C infections treated with anti-PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy may respond to treatment without increased toxicity, given the risk of graft rejection in solid organ transplant patients and also the potential for response.
