Journal ArticleDOI

Pulsar timing with the Parkes radio telescope for the Fermi mission

TL;DR: The Parkes radio telescope has been used for the timing of 168 pulsars in the first year of its operation as discussed by the authors, with the vast majority of these pulsars having spin-down luminosities in excess of 1034 erg s −1 and are prime target candidates to be detected in gamma-rays by the Fermi Gamma-Ray Space Telescope.
Journal ArticleDOI

Birth of a radio supernova remnant in supernova 1987A

TL;DR: In this article, a radio supernova was detected at all monitored frequencies between 843 MHz and 8.6 GHz, with considerable variations in spectral index, and was interpreted as optically thin synchrotron emission from shock-accelerated electrons.
Journal ArticleDOI

Vlbi observations of southern hemisphere icrf sources. i

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented 8.4 GHz very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) observations of 69 southern hemisphere extragalactic sources in the International Celestial Reference Frame.
