Journal ArticleDOI

The proper motion of the Vela pulsar

TL;DR: The Parkes-Tidbinbilla Interferometer has been used to measure the proper motion of the Vela pulsar over a 2-year period and obtain a value of 49 + or - 5 mas/yr at a position angle 305 deg as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Starburst or Seyfert? Adding a Radio and Far-Infrared Perspective to the Investigation of Activity in Composite Galaxies

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated a sample of galaxies with ambiguous optical emission-line ratios and concluded from near-infrared spectroscopic observations that the sample consisted of composite galaxies, containing both a starburst and an active galactic nucleus (AGN).
Journal ArticleDOI

The inner scale of the plasma turbulence towards PSR J1644−4559

TL;DR: In this article, the decaying shape of the scatter-broadened pulse from the bright distant pulsar PSR J1644-4559 was used to investigate the inner scale at which the turbulence is dissipated, assuming an isotropic Kolmogorov spectrum.
