An object is to provide a semiconductor device of which a manufacturing process is not complicated and by which cost can be suppressed, by forming a thin film transistor using an oxide semiconductor film typified by zinc oxide, and a manufacturing method thereof. For the semiconductor device, a gate electrode is formed over a substrate; a gate insulating film is formed covering the gate electrode; an oxide semiconductor film is formed over the gate insulating film; and a first conductive film and a second conductive film are formed over the oxide semiconductor film. The oxide semiconductor film has at least a crystallized region in a channel region.

An object of the present invention is to decrease the resistance of a power supply line, to suppress a voltage drop in the power supply line, and to prevent defective display. A connection terminal portion includes a plurality of connection terminals. The plurality of connection terminals is provided with a plurality of connection pads which is part of the connection terminal. The plurality of connection pads includes a first connection pad and a second connection pad having a line width different from that of the first connection pad. Pitches between the plurality of connection pads are equal to each other.

Semiconductor device and display device

Disclosed herein are liquid-crystal display (LCD) touch screens that integrate the touch sensing elements with the display circuitry. The integration may take a variety of forms. Touch sensing elements can be completely implemented within the LCD stackup but outside the not between the color filter plate and the array plate. Alternatively, some touch sensing elements can be between the color filter and array plates with other touch sensing elements not between the plates. In another alternative, all touch sensing elements can be between the color filter and array plates. The latter alternative can include both conventional and in-plane-switching (IPS) LCDs. In some forms, one or more display structures can also have a touch sensing function. Techniques for manufacturing and operating such displays, as well as various devices embodying such displays are also disclosed.

Another object is to provide a technique by which a pattern of wirings or the like which is partially constitutes a semiconductor device or a display device can be formed with a desired shape with controllability.

A digital driver for display devices which can prevent the delay of digital data and the extended transition time of the digital data, and thus can make good display, and a display device including the above-mentioned digital driver are disclosed. The digital driver according to the present invention is constituted in such a manner that, by successively inputting digital data to a shift register, the digital data are shifted in the shift register, and the resulting output is sent out to latch circuits. Since the digital data are directly inputted to the shift register, the distance over which the data lines are laid around can be shortened, the increase in load due to the laying-around of the data lines which has so far been a problem can be prevented, and the delay of the digital data and the extended transition time of the digital data can be prevented.

Digital driver and display device

The present invention provides an integrated circuit structure in which an area necessary for making contact is assured in a multi-layered wiring structure even when a design rule is made rigorous. In a structure in which wires separated above and below by an interlayer insulating film are contacted, the wire at the lower layer is patterned into a pattern of the wire at the upper layer which are made to contact. Thereby, the present invention allows the area necessary for making the contact to be largely assured and to deal with the micronization.

An active matrix display device has a number of pixels arranged in matrix form, signal lines for supplying display signals to the pixels, and a driver circuit for driving the signal lines. The driver circuit includes a frequency divider circuit for frequency-dividing input multi-phase clock signals, a synchronous counter circuit for frequency-dividing part of the input multi-phase clock signals, and a decoder circuit for selecting a desired one of the signal lines based on outputs of the frequency divider circuit and the synchronous counter circuit.

SOLUTION: The digital micromirror device is equipped with a micromirror, first and second electrodes to change the inclination of the micromirror, a first switching element, a second switching element and an SRAM. The output terminal of the first switching element is connected to the first electrode; the output terminal of the second switching element is connected to the second electrode; the input terminal of the SRAM is connected to the first electrode and the output terminal of the SRAM is connected to the second electrode; and the input voltage and the output voltage of the SRAM differ from each other.

Digital micromirror device and method for driving the same

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the semiconductor display device which has low power consumption and small electromagnetic noise and small necessary radiation. SOLUTION: In a peripheral driving circuit, the clock signal whose level is raised by a level shifter circuit is inputted to a shift register circuit. The timing signal from the shift register circuit is inputted to the level shifter circuit and its voltage is raised in two stages. Consequently, the power consumption of the driving circuit is reduced, electromagnetic noise is suppressed, and unnecessary radiation is made small.
