Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical characteristics and outcomes of hospitalised patients with COVID-19 treated in Hubei (epicentre) and outside Hubei (non-epicentre): a nationwide analysis of China.
Wenhua Liang,Wei Jie Guan,Caichen Li,Yimin Li,Heng Rui Liang,Yi Zhao,Xiaoqing Liu,Ling Sang,Ling Sang,Ru Chong Chen,Chun Li Tang,Tao Wang,Wei Wang,Qi Hua He,Zi Sheng Chen,Sook San Wong,Mark Zanin,Jun Liu,Xin Xu,Jun Huang,Jianfu Li,Li Min Ou,Bo Cheng,Shan Xiong,Zhan Hong Xie,Zheng Yi Ni,Yu Hu,Lei Liu,Hong Shan,Chun Liang Lei,Yi Xiang Peng,Li Wei,Yong Liu,Ya Hua Hu,Peng Peng,Jian-ming Wang,Ji Yang Liu,Zhong Chen,Gang Li,Zhi Jian Zheng,Shao Qin Qiu,Jie Luo,Chang Jiang Ye,Shao Yong Zhu,Lin Ling Cheng,Feng Ye,Shi Yue Li,Jin Ping Zheng,Nuo Fu Zhang,Nuo Fu Zhang,Nanshan Zhong,Jianxing He +51 more
TL;DR: There were more severe cases and poorer outcomes for COVID-19 patients treated in Hubei, which might be attributed to the prolonged duration of symptom onset to hospitalisation in the epicentre, and the reason for delaying hospitalisation is warranted.
Journal ArticleDOI
Early triage of critically ill COVID-19 patients using deep learning
Wenhua Liang,Jianhua Yao,Ailan Chen,Qingquan Lv,Mark Zanin,Jun Liu,Sook San Wong,Yimin Li,Jiatao Lu,Hengrui Liang,Guoqiang Chen,Haiyan Guo,Jun Guo,Rong Zhou,Limin Ou,Zhou Niyun,Hanbo Chen,Fan Yang,Xiao Han,Wenjing Huan,Weimin Tang,Wei-jie Guan,Zisheng Chen,Yi Zhao,Ling Sang,Yuanda Xu,Wei Wang,Shiyue Li,Ligong Lu,Nuofu Zhang,Nanshan Zhong,Junzhou Huang,Jianxing He +32 more
TL;DR: A deep learning-based survival model can predict the risk of COVID-19 patients developing critical illness based on clinical characteristics at admission and is used to create an online calculation tool designed for patient triage at admission to identify patients at risk of severe illness.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nonintubated Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery Under Epidural Anesthesia Compared With Conventional Anesthetic Option A Randomized Control Study
Jun Liu,Fei Cui,Shuben Li,Hanzhang Chen,Wenlong Shao,Lixia Liang,Weiqiang Yin,Yongping Lin,Jianxing He +8 more
TL;DR: VATS under anesthesia with nontracheal intubation is safe and feasible, and has demonstrated advantages, including shorter postoperative fasting time, shorter duration of antibiotic use, and shorter hospital stay, compared with VATS under general anesthesia with double lumen tube.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy and safety of first line treatments for patients with advanced epidermal growth factor receptor mutated, non-small cell lung cancer: systematic review and network meta-analysis
Yi Zhao,Jingting Liu,Xiuyu Cai,Zhenkui Pan,Jun Liu,Weiqiang Yin,Hanzhang Chen,Zhanhong Xie,Hengrui Liang,Wei Wang,Zhihua Guo,Shen Zhao,Wenhua Liang,Jianxing He +13 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that osimertinib and gefitinib plus pemetrexed based chemotherapy were associated with the best progression free survival and overall survival benefits for patients with advanced EGFR mutated NSCLC, compared with other first line treatments.
Journal ArticleDOI
The impact of non-intubated versus intubated anaesthesia on early outcomes of video-assisted thoracoscopic anatomical resection in non-small-cell lung cancer: a propensity score matching analysis.
Jun Liu,Fei Cui,Eugenio Pompeo,Diego Gonzalez-Rivas,Hanzhang Chen,Weiqiang Yin,Wenlong Shao,Shuben Li,Hui Pan,Jianfei Shen,Lindsey Hamblin,Jianxing He +11 more
TL;DR: Perioperative data comparisons with IASLV have shown that postoperative fasting time, overall drainage volume and hospital stay were significantly better with NIIASV, suggesting a more rapid recovery.
