TL;DR: The authors found that the indirect relationships of LMX with job satisfaction and job performance via individual empowerment were stronger when LLX was higher, and team empowerment and individual empowerment sequentially mediated the positive relationship of LLX on subordinates' individual empowerment.
Abstract: subordinates’ individual empowerment. Furthermore, team empowerment and individual empowerment sequentially mediated the positive relationships between LLX and subordinates’ job satisfaction and job performance. The authors also found that the indirect relationships of LMX with job satisfaction and job performance via individual empowerment were stronger when LLX was higher. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed.

TL;DR: The authors examined how attachment affected the peer influence on adolescent consumer behavior and found that attachment toward family and toward peers emerged together, while attachment avoidance decreased the tendency to shop often with friends and the motivation to comply in a purchase.
Abstract: This research examined how attachment affected the peer influence on adolescent consumer behavior. Results showed that attachment toward family and toward peers emerged together. Adolescent attachment anxiety strengthened the peer influence in consumption while attachment avoidance weakened the peer influence. Anxiety was positively related to adolescents’ perception of friends’ greater knowledge, spending when shopping with friends, and motivation to comply with friends’ suggestions on purchases directly and indirectly through consumer susceptibility to informational and normative influence. In contrast, attachment avoidance decreased the tendency to shop often with friends and the motivation to comply in a purchase. This study revealed that the influence of individual attachment orientations on interpersonal relationships can be extended to the field of consumption.

TL;DR: In this paper, the congruence effect of leader and follower proactive personality on leader-member exchange (LMX) quality, which in turn influences follower job satisfaction, affective commitment, and job performance was examined.
Abstract: Drawing upon prior research on proactive personality and person-environment fit, we examine the congruence effect of leader and follower proactive personality on leader-member exchange (LMX) quality, which in turn influences follower job satisfaction, affective commitment, and job performance. Results of cross-level polynomial regressions on 165 dyads supported the congruence effect hypothesis. Further, asymmetrical incongruence effects were found wherein followers had lower-quality LMX and poorer work outcomes when their proactive personality was lower than their leaders' as compared with when their proactive personality was higher. These findings highlight the pivotal role played by leaders in promoting employee proactivity at work.

TL;DR: In this paper, the consumer susceptibility to interpersonal influence (SUSCEP) scale was validated using questionnaires administered to 1114 adult employees and 350 university students in China, where the consumer's susceptibility to the interpersonal influence had a stable three-factor structure (i.e. the utilitarian, value-expressive, and informational dimensions) in both samples, while the original two-factor structures could not be retrieved.
Abstract: To validate the consumer susceptibility to interpersonal influence (SUSCEP) scale in China, questionnaires were administered to 1114 adult employees and 350 university students. Confirmatory factor analyses showed that the consumer susceptibility to interpersonal influence scale had a stable three-factor structure (i.e. the utilitarian, value-expressive, and informational dimensions) in both samples, while the original two-factor structure could not be retrieved. Using Chinese samples, the consumer susceptibility to interpersonal influence scale and its three sub-scales demonstrated acceptable internal reliability, as well as convergent and discriminant validity. Positive correlations between the consumer susceptibility to interpersonal influence scale (as well as its sub-scales) and attention to social comparison information also indicated good convergent validity. The distinction between utilitarian dimension and value-expression dimension in Chinese samples as well as the non-significant correlations of the utilitarian dimension with self-esteem and the informational dimension with self-esteem revealed cultural differences between the East and the West.

TL;DR: The psychometric properties of a Chinese translation of the Political Skill Inventory were investigated, supporting construct, convergent, discriminant, and criterion validities, and suggested that the Chinese translation retained a four-factor structure.
Abstract: Summary Ferris and colleagues defined political skill in organizations as “the ability to effectively understand others at work and to use such knowledge to influence others to act in ways that enhance one's personal and/or organizational objectives.” In this study, the psychometric properties of a Chinese translation of the Political Skill Inventory were investigated, supporting construct, convergent, discriminant, and criterion validities. The results suggested that the Chinese translation retained a four-factor structure. Political skill was positively correlated with self-monitoring, conscientiousness, political savvy, emotional intelligence, extra-version, agreeableness, and proactive personality, and was negatively correlated with trait anxiety and external locus of control. After controlling for age, sex, and job tenure, political skill was predictive of task performance, work contribution, and interpersonal help.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the relationships between team conflict, team trust and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), and the mediating role of organizational justice, using a sample of 241 employees working in hospitals.
Abstract: By using a sample of 241 employees working in hospitals, the present study examined the relationships between team conflict, team trust and organizational citizenship behavior(OCB),and the mediating role of organizational justiceHierarchical linear regression analysis showed that organizational justice partly mediated the relationship between team conflict and OCB and fully mediated the relationship between team trust and OCBImplications of these results and directions for future research are discussed
