Observation of Enhanced Optical Spin Hall Effect in a Vertical Hyperbolic Metamaterial
TL;DR: In this paper, the optical spin Hall effect was observed in hyperbolic metamaterials, horizontally stacked metal and dielectric multilayer, and the authors proposed a platform to observe the Hall effect.
Journal ArticleDOI
Engineering spin and antiferromagnetic resonances to realize an efficient direction-multiplexed visible meta-hologram
Muhammad Afnan Ansari,Muhammad Afnan Ansari,Inki Kim,Ivan D. Rukhlenko,Ivan D. Rukhlenko,Muhammad Zubair,Selcuk Yerci,Tauseef Tauqeer,Muhammad Qasim Mehmood,Junsuk Rho +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a single-layer design of a nano half-waveplates (HWPs) of low-loss hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) was proposed for the visible domain.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metasurfaces-Based Absorption and Reflection Control: Perfect Absorbers and Reflectors
TL;DR: In the past decade, the realisation of negative index materials has initiated extensive research into metamaterials and perfect absorbers and reflectors are of particular interest as their usefulness is endless in a range of different fields and devices as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Double-deep Q-learning to increase the efficiency of metasurface holograms.
TL;DR: A double deep Q-learning network (DDQN) is used to find the right material type and the optimal geometrical design for metasurface holograms to reach high efficiency and the found structure is transmission-type and polarization-independent and works in the visible region.
Journal ArticleDOI
Novel Spin‐Decoupling Strategy in Liquid Crystal‐Integrated Metasurfaces for Interactive Metadisplays
Muhammad Naveed,Joohoon Kim,Isma Noreen Javed,Muhammad Afnan Ansari,Junhwa Seong,Y. Massoud,Trevon Badloe,In-Cheol Kim,Kashif Riaz,Muhammad Zubair,Muhammad Qasim Mehmood,Junsuk Rho +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a simple asymmetric spin-orbit interaction (SOI)-based technique is realized for multifunctional metaoptics, employing only a single unit cell, breaking the conventional tradeoff between design complexity and efficient asymmetric transmission efficiency.
