Determination of Reference Values for NIST SRM 610–617 Glasses Following ISO Guidelines

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented new reference values for the NIST SRM 610-617 glasses following ISO guidelines and the International Association of Geoanalysts' protocol, and determined quantitatively possible element inhomogeneities using different test portion masses of 1, 0.1 and 0.02μg.
Journal ArticleDOI

No Evidence for Cerium Dioxide Nanoparticle Translocation in Maize Plants

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that 50 μg of cerium/g of leaves was either adsorbed or incorporated into maize leaves, which may indicate that the biological barriers of plants are more resistant against nanoparticle translocation than mammalian barriers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Abyssal peridotite Hf isotopes identify extreme mantle depletion

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented new Hf and Nd isotope analyses of clinopyroxene (cpx) from abyssal peridotites from the Gakkel Ridge in the Arctic Ocean, the Southwest Indian ridge and the South Atlantic.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fundamental studies on the ablation behaviour of Pb/U in NIST 610 and zircon 91500 using laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry with respect to geochronology

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the limitations of non-matrix matched quantification of the Pb and U system and showed that at certain operating conditions the loss of pb and the retention of U within the crater are equal.
