Response and Stability of Underground Structures in Rock Mass during Earthquakes
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe various forms of damage to underground structures such as tunnels, caverns, natural caves and abandoned mines during major earthquakes and show the effect of ground shaking on the response and collapse of underground structures in continuum and discontinuum.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ab initio MO study of CO2 insertion into a Cu(I)-H bond. Semiquantitative understanding of changes in geometry, bonding, and electron distribution during the reaction
TL;DR: An ab initio MO study was carried out on CO 2 insertion into a Cu(I)-H bond of CuH(PH 3 ) n (n=2,3) as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Homogeneous esterolytic catalysis of a polymer prepared by molecular imprinting of a transition state analogue
TL;DR: In this article, an imidazole-containing polymer inprinted with a transition state analogue exhibited homogeneous esterolytic catalysis efficiently, using a transition-state analogue.
Journal ArticleDOI
Catalytic activities of novel l-histidyl group-introduced polymers imprinted by a transition state analogue in the hydrolysis of amino acid esters
Katsutoshi Ohkubo,Yasuo Urata,Shyogo Hirota,Yoshio Funakoshi,Takashi Sagawa,Satoshi Usui,Kohji Yoshinaga +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the catalytic properties of l -histidyl group-introduced, cross-linked polymers imprinted by a transition-state analogue (phenyl 1-benzyloxycarbonylamino-3-methylpentylphosphonate) or a ground-state one (N -( N -benzinyloxy carbonyl- l -leucinoyl) anthranilic acid) were examined for the esterolysis of a marked substrate of p -nitrophenyl N -bensyl carbony
Journal ArticleDOI
Catalytic activity of a novel water-soluble cross-linked polymer imprinted by a transition-state analogue for the stereoselective hydrolysis of enantiomeric amino acid esters
TL;DR: A novel water-soluble cross-linked polymer catalyst containing l -histidine and quarternary trimethylammonium groups was imprinted by a racemic transition-state analogue of phenyl 1-benzyloxycarbonyl-3-methylpentylphosphonate for the hydrolysis of enantiomeric amino acid p-nitrophenyl esters in 10 vol% DMSO (or MeCN) at 303 K as mentioned in this paper.
