Journal ArticleDOI

Is a Griffiths phase a prerequisite for colossal magnetoresistance

TL;DR: While a Griffiths phase accounts for the behavior of La(1-x)Ca(x)MnO(3) near optimal doping, it does not appear to be a prerequisite for colossal magnetoresistance in this system.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Extreme Conditions Beamline P02.2 and the Extreme Conditions Science Infrastructure at PETRA III

TL;DR: A performance description of the Extreme Conditions Beamline (ECB, P02.2) at PETRA III that is optimized for micro-diffraction at simultaneous high pressure and high and low temperatures created in different diamond anvil cells environments is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI

Griffiths phase and critical behavior in single-crystal La 0.7 Ba 0.3 Mn O 3 : Phase diagram for La 1 − x Ba x Mn O 3 ( x ⩽ 0.33 )

TL;DR: In this article, an analysis of low-field dc and ac susceptibilities reveals features consistent with the presence of a Griffiths phase (GP), an inverse susceptibility characterized by an inverse Gaussian distribution.
