Numerical Analysis of a Three-Dimensional Cavity Flow Field in a Supersonic Duct.

TL;DR: In this paper, the flow field in a cavity that is attached to a supersonic duct at M = 1.83 is computationally simulated and the basic characteristics of the cavity flow field and the effect of cavity dimensions (the length to depth ratio) are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flow Field and Performance Analysis of Aerospike Nozzles with Simplified Clustered Modules

TL;DR: In this article, the fundamental characteristics of simplified clustered aerospike nozzles are analyzed by the computational fluid dynamics approach, and the computed results show that the number of modules influence the thrust performance, and that the major reason for the decrease in thrust performance with a smaller number of module is due to thrust loss in the ramp region.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Visualization and verification method for failure network analysis of space launch vehicles

TL;DR: In this article, a comprehensive failure network analysis method was studied for liquid rocket engine development which includes failure propagation through various types of component interfaces in order to achieve exhaustive enumeration of possible failures and to identify actions to eliminate or reduce the potential failure.
