Journal ArticleDOI

Multiparameter MRI Predictors of Long-Term Survival in Glioblastoma Multiforme.

TL;DR: Of the 6 distinct MRI-defined habitats, the fractional tumor volume of habitat 6 at diagnosis was significantly predictive of long- or short-term survival, and a possible mechanistic basis for this association is discussed and implications for habitat-driven adaptive therapy of GBM.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simulating PDGF-Driven Glioma Growth and Invasion in an Anatomically Accurate Brain Domain

TL;DR: Simulations of the differential diffusion of PDGF-expressing and recruited cell populations via a system of partial differential equations with spatially variable diffusion coefficients and solving the equations in two spatial dimensions on a mouse brain atlas demonstrate qualitative agreement with the observed tumor distribution in the experimental animal system.
Book ChapterDOI

Modeling Diffusely Invading Brain Tumors An Individualized Approach to Quantifying Glioma Evolution and Response to Therapy

TL;DR: The present mathematical model characterizes glioma growth and invasiveness in terms of only two dominant parameters: net rates of diffusion/motility and the extent of invasion.
