Image-based metric of invasiveness predicts response to adjuvant temozolomide for primary glioblastoma

TL;DR: The finding that less diffusely invasive tumors are associated with greater volumetric response to TMZ suggests that patients with these tumors may benefit from additional cycles of adjuvant TMZ, even for those without MGMT methylation.
Book ChapterDOI

Sex Differences in Predicting Fluid Intelligence of Adolescent Brain from T1-Weighted MRIs

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used atlas-aligned volumetric T1-weighted (T1 W) MRIs to predict fluid intelligence (Gf) in children aged 9-10.
Posted ContentDOI

Glioblastoma recurrence and the role of MGMT promoter methylation

TL;DR: A mathematical model is developed, parameterized using clinical and experimental data, to investigate the role of MGMT methylation in TMZ resistance during the standard treatment regimen for GBM, finding that the observed downward shift in MGMT promoter methylation status between detection and recurrence cannot be explained solely by evolutionary selection.

Assessment of Prognostic Value of Cystic Features in Glioblastoma Relative to Sex and Treatment with Standard-of-Care

TL;DR: In this article, the authors performed an exploratory analysis on the potential link between cysts and survival using pre-treatment MRIs, and found that patients with cysts had significantly longer overall survival and were significantly younger at presentation.
