A CD103+ Conventional Dendritic Cell Surveillance System Prevents Development of Overt Heart Failure during Subclinical Viral Myocarditis.

TL;DR: The murine heart contains two major conventional dendritic cell subsets, CD103+ and CD11b+, which differentially relied on local proliferation and precursor recruitment to maintain their tissue residency, and a BATF3‐dependent cDC surveillance system that prevents the transition of subclinical viral myocarditis to overt heart failure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective loss of resident macrophage-derived insulin-like growth factor-1 abolishes adaptive cardiac growth to stress.

TL;DR: In this paper, single-cell transcriptomics of fate-mapped self-renewing cardiac resident macrophages (RMs) revealed transcriptionally diverse cell states with a core repertoire of reparative gene programs, including high expression of insulin-like growth factor-1 (Igf1).
Journal ArticleDOI

DICER1 syndrome: Approach to testing and management at a large pediatric tertiary care center.

TL;DR: To expand the current knowledge of DICER1 syndrome and to propose criteria for genetic testing based on experience at a pediatric tertiary care center.
