Sub-Doppler Frequency Measurements on OCS Near 1689 and 1885 cm−1

TL;DR: In this paper, an optical polarization heterodyne technique was used to measure the frequencies of two OCS lines, one near 5.3 μm and the other near 5.9 μm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Proposed sum-and-difference method for optical-frequency measurement in the near infrared.

TL;DR: A method for the determination of optical frequencies in the near infrared that is based on the nonlinear generation of the optical sum and difference frequencies of two near-infrared lasers followed by the comparison of the sum and Difference frequencies with standards in the visible and in the far infrared is proposed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Microfabricated atomic frequency references

TL;DR: In this paper, a physics package for a chip-scale atomic clock with a volume of 9.5 mm/sup 3, consuming 75 mW of power, is presented, and a fractional frequency instability of 2.4 /spl times/ 10/sup -10/ at one second of integration is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stable isotopic analysis of atmospheric methane by infrared spectroscopy by use of diode laser difference-frequency generation.

TL;DR: An infrared absorption spectrometer has been constructed to measure the stable isotopic composition of atmospheric methane samples and a measurement precision of 12 per thousand is demonstrated for both delta13C and deltaD.
