Journal ArticleDOI

Effective treatment of collagen-induced arthritis by adoptive transfer of CD25+ regulatory T cells.

TL;DR: The data indicate that CD25+ regulatory T cells can be used for the treatment of systemic, antibody-mediated autoimmune diseases, such as CIA.
Journal ArticleDOI

CD25+ cell depletion hastens the onset of severe disease in collagen-induced arthritis.

TL;DR: These results establish a link between CD4+,CD25+ regulatory cells and CIA and provide a rationale for investigating CD4+ T regulatory cells in the treatment and prevention of arthritis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Immature dendritic cells suppress collagen-induced arthritis by in vivo expansion of CD49b+ regulatory T cells.

TL;DR: It is shown for the first time that repetitive iDC injections trigger the expansion of a novel regulatory population with high immunomodulatory properties, able to protect mice from collagen-induced arthritis, and adopted transfer of <105 TCRβ+CD49b+ cells isolated from the liver of iDCs-vaccinated mice conferred complete protection against arthritis.
