Journal ArticleDOI

Characteristics of Antisense Transcript Promoters and the Regulation of Their Activity.

TL;DR: This review focuses on elaborating on and summarizing the characteristics of ASPs to extend knowledge about the mechanisms of antisense transcript initiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transcriptome Analysis of Apple Leaves in Response to Powdery Mildew (Podosphaera leucotricha) Infection.

TL;DR: RNA-based transcriptional profiling was used to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in apples following inoculation with Podosphaera leucotricha, and gene annotation analysis revealed that DEGs were predominately associated with biological processes, phenylpropanoid biosynthesis, hormone signal transduction and plant-pathogen interactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

MicroRNA profile analysis on duck feather follicle and skin with high-throughput sequencing technology.

TL;DR: The miRNA profiles demonstrated that different miRNA regulation mechanism may exist in contour feather follicles ( with the surrounding skin) and down feather follicle (with the surroundingSkin) and comparing the highly abundant miRNAs with those of mammalian hair follicles and skins, different mi RNAs and miRNA families were found, suggesting the different ways in feather follicular regulation and mammalianhair follicles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functional characterization of calcium-dependent protein kinase (CPK) 2 gene from oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) in regulating reactive oxygen species signaling and cell death control.

TL;DR: Overexpression of the constitutively active form of BnaCPK2 led to significantly more accumulation of ROS and cell death than the full-length CPK2, which is supported by various measurements of physiological data.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genome-wide identification and characterization of late embryogenesis abundant protein-encoding gene family in wheat: Evolution and expression profiles during development and stress

TL;DR: It is proved that the tandem duplication and segmental duplication played an important role in the expansion of the TaLEA gene family in wheat and its close relatives.
