Journal ArticleDOI
The Xanthomonas Ax21 protein is processed by the general secretory system and is secreted in association with outer membrane vesicles.
Ofir Bahar,Rory Pruitt,Dee Dee Luu,Benjamin Schwessinger,Arsalan Daudi,Furong Liu,Randy Ruan,Lisa Fontaine-Bodin,Ralf Koebnik,Pamela C. Ronald,Pamela C. Ronald +10 more
TL;DR: It is shown that Ax21 secretion does not depend on the predicted type I secretion system and that it is processed by the general secretion (Sec) system, and that ax21 is an outer membrane protein, secreted in association with outer membrane vesicles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Two ancestral genes shaped the Xanthomonas campestris TAL effector gene repertoire
Nicolas Denancé,Boris Szurek,Erin L. Doyle,Erin L. Doyle,Emmanuelle Lauber,Lisa Fontaine-Bodin,Sébastien Carrère,Endrick Guy,Ahmed Hajri,Aude Cerutti,Tristan Boureau,Stéphane Poussier,Matthieu Arlat,Adam J. Bogdanove,Adam J. Bogdanove,Laurent D. Noël +15 more
TL;DR: A large and polymorphic repertoire of TALEs opens novel perspectives for elucidating TALE-mediated susceptibility of Brassicaceae to black rot disease and for understanding the molecular processes underlying TALE evolution.
