TFEB and TFE3 cooperate in the regulation of the innate immune response in activated macrophages

TL;DR: It is determined that TFEB and TFE3 collaborate with each other in activated macrophages and microglia to promote efficient autophagy induction, increased lysosomal biogenesis, and transcriptional upregulation of numerous proinflammatory cytokines.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel Role of TRPML2 in the Regulation of the Innate Immune Response

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed TRPML2 expression in different mouse tissues and organs and found that it was predominantly expressed in lymphoid organs and kidney, and showed that the expression was negligible in resting macrophages, and protein levels dramatically increased in response to TLR activation.
