Hacker,Jussi Baade,Lutz Bannehr,Erik Borg,Jan Bumberger,Peter Dietrich,Cornelia Gläßer,Dagmar Haase,Dagmar Haase,Marco Heurich,Marco Heurich,Thomas Jagdhuber,Sven Jany,Rudolf Krönert,Markus Möller,Hannes Mollenhauer,Carsten Montzka,Marion Pause,Christian Rogass,Nesrin Salepci,Christiane Schmullius,Franziska Schrodt,Claudia Schütze,Christian Schweitzer,Peter Selsam,Daniel Spengler,Michael Vohland,Martin Volk,Ute Weber,Thilo Wellmann,Thilo Wellmann,Ulrike Werban,Steffen Zacharias,Christian Thiel +38 more
TL;DR: The requirements for future geomorphology monitoring are focused on the implementation and linking of in-situ, close-range, air- and spaceborne RS technologies, geomorphic traits, and data science approaches as crucial components for a better understanding of the geomorphic impacts on complex ecosystems.
Journal ArticleDOI
Linking earth observation and taxonomic, structural and functional biodiversity: local to ecosystem perspectives
Angela Lausch,Lutz Bannehr,Michael Beckmann,Christoph Boehm,Hannes Feilhauer,Jorg M. Hacker,Marco Heurich,András Jung,Reinhard Klenke,Carsten Neumann,Marion Pause,Duccio Rocchini,Michael E. Schaepman,Sebastian Schmidtlein,Karsten Schulz,Peter Selsam,Josef Settele,Andrew K. Skidmore,Anna F. Cord +18 more
TL;DR: This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the role of EO to detect, describe, explain, predict and assess biodiversity, and discusses the recording of taxonomic elements of biodiversity through the identification of animal and plant species.
Journal ArticleDOI

Wood,Steve Zegelin +22 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a multidisciplinary field campaign called Savanna Patterns of Energy and Carbon Integrated across the Landscape (SPECIAL) during the dry season in Australian savannas to understand the spatial patterns and processes of land surface-atmosphere exchanges (radiation, heat, moisture, CO2, and other trace gasses).
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: An overview of the state-of-the-art approaches for monitoring soil characteristics and soil moisture with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and air- and spaceborne remote sensing techniques and current and future satellite-borne sensors and missions are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluating Thermal Attribute Mapping Strategies for Oblique Airborne Photogrammetric System AOS-Tx8
TL;DR: Experimental results showed that the global image pose refinement outperforms the other two strategies at registration accuracy between thermal imagery and RGB point cloud.
