Felix Büttner,Bastian Pfau,Marie Böttcher,Michael Schneider,G. Mercurio,Christian M. Günther,Piet Hessing,Christopher Klose,Angela Wittmann,Kathinka Gerlinger,Lisa-Marie Kern,Christian Strüber,Clemens von Korff Schmising,Josefin Fuchs,Dieter Engel,Alexandra Churikova,Siying Huang,Daniel Suzuki,Ivan Lemesh,Mantao Huang,Lucas Caretta,David Weder,John H. Mentink,Bertrand Dupé,Bertrand Dupé,Geoffrey S. D. Beach,Stefan Eisebitt +52 more
TL;DR: Atomistic simulations indicate that the fluctuation state largely reduces the topological energy barrier and thereby enables the observed rapid and homogeneous nucleation of the skyrmion phase, and suggest a path towards ultrafast topological switching in a wide variety of materials through intermediate fluctuating states.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The first DSSC 1-Mpixel camera was successfully installed and commissioned at the European XFEL (EuXFEL) in the Hamburg area in February 2019 as mentioned in this paper.
Patent
Semiconductor detector, particularly X-ray detector, has transistor structure for readout of signal charge carriers that are generated by incident beam in semiconductor detector
TL;DR: In this paper, a coupling structure was proposed for readout of signal charge carriers generated by an incident beam in a semiconductor detector, which couples the beam-generated signal carriers with a determined drift velocity (V-drift) in the readout transistor structure.
Journal ArticleDOI
First functionality tests of a 64 × 64 pixel DSSC sensor module connected to the complete ladder readout
Mattia Donato,K. Hansen,Pradeep Kalavakuru,Manfred Kirchgessner,Markus Kuster,M. Porro,C. Reckleben,M. Turcato +7 more
TL;DR: The DEPFET Sensor with Signal Compression (DSSC) detector as discussed by the authors was developed to meet the requirements set by these two X-ray Free Electron Laser (XFEL) instruments.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Validation of proton tests in air for detector calibration over a wide range of charge injection levels
Andrea Castoldi,Chiara Guazzoni,G. V. Montemurro,L. Carraresi,M. Porro,S. Schlee,G. Weidenspointner +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the possibility of using a pulsed monoenergetic proton beam as a diagnostic tool for semiconductor detectors' response mapping at high charge densities.
