Experimental study on the effect of coupling parabolic trough collector with double slope solar still on its performance
TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of coupling parabolic trough collector (PTC) with double slope solar still is investigated experimentally, and the results illustrate that the solar still with PTC has higher sill temperature and productivity compared with conventional solar still.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hybrid solar desalination systems driven by parabolic trough and parabolic dish CSP technologies: Technology categorization, thermodynamic performance and economical assessment
Moustafa M. Aboelmaaref,Moustafa M. Aboelmaaref,Mohamed E. Zayed,Mohamed E. Zayed,Jun Zhao,Wenjia Li,Ahmed A. Askalany,M. Salem Ahmed,Ehab S. Ali +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a review of the current status and recent progress in concentrated solar power (CSP) desalination technology has been presented, where the authors considered designs and hybridization configurations, thermodynamic performance assessment, and economic analyses of hybrid solar desalification systems driven by only the parabolic trough, or/parabolic dish CSP systems.
Journal ArticleDOI
Assessment of parabolic trough solar collector assisted solar still at various saline water mediums via energy, exergy, exergoeconomic, and enviroeconomic approaches
TL;DR: In this article, the performance of parabolic trough solar collector (PTC) coupled with single slope solar still at various water mediums is assessed based on productivity, energy, exergy, exergoeconomic, and enviroeconomic methodologies and also Energy payback time.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental work on the effect of saline water medium on the performance of solar still with tracked parabolic trough collector (TPTC)
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of the saline water medium on the performance of double acting solar still combined with tracked parabolic trough collector (TPTC) was studied in a desalination system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of hybrid and single nanofluids on the performance characteristics of chilled water air conditioning system
TL;DR: In this article, the performance characteristics of a vapor compression refrigeration system associated with a chilled water air conditioning unit utilized nanofluids (Al2O3, TiO2, and a hybrid of Al 2O3/TiO2 based H2O) were experimentally investigated.
