Journal ArticleDOI
An ex vivo readout for evaluation of dendritic cell-induced autologous cytotoxic T lymphocyte responses against esophageal cancer
Francesca Milano,Agnieszka M. Rygiel,Navtej S. Buttar,Jacques J. G. H. M. Bergman,Carine Sondermeijer,Jantine W. P. M. van Baal,Anja ten Brinke,Martien L. Kapsenberg,S. Marieke van Ham,Maikel P. Peppelenbosch,Kausilia K. Krishnadath +10 more
TL;DR: A practical, patient-specific autologous readout assay for pre-clinical testing of DC-mediated cytotoxic responses is introduced and it is demonstrated that the use of autologously tumor RNA as a strategy for raising cytot toxic responses against multiple tumor antigens could be effective for treating esophageal cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
A microbiome study to explore the gut-skin axis in hidradenitis suppurativa.
Suk Yee Lam,Djawad Radjabzadeh,Hester Eppinga,Yoena Roos Anna Nossent,Hessel H. van der Zee,Robert Kraaij,Sergey R. Konstantinov,Gwenny M. Fuhler,Errol P. Prens,Hok Bing Thio,Maikel P. Peppelenbosch +10 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Dichotomy in Hedgehog signaling between human healthy vessel and atherosclerotic plaques.
Karla C. S. Queiroz,Maarten F. Bijlsma,René A. Tio,Clark J. Zeebregts,Marina Dunaeva,Carmen Veríssima Ferreira,Gwenny M. Fuhler,Ernst J. Kuipers,Maria M. Alves,Farhad Rezaee,C. Arnold Spek,Maikel P. Peppelenbosch +11 more
TL;DR: A dichotomy between healthy vessels and atherosclerotic plaques with respect to the activation status of the HH pathway exists, and it is tempting to suggest that downregulation of HH signaling contributes to long-term plaque stability.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficacy of Different Endoscopic Stents in the Management of Postoperative Biliary Strictures: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
Qin Yang,Jiaye Liu,Wen-Jie Ma,Jun-Ke Wang,Fu-Yu Li,Wichor M. Bramer,Maikel P. Peppelenbosch,Qiuwei Pan +7 more
TL;DR: F CSEMS-M is more favorable in the management of BBS comparing with MPS or FCSEMS-C, and the biodegradable stent may be a promising option but currently available data is insufficient to draw a firm conclusion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Systems medicine approaches for peptide array-based protein kinase profiling: progress and prospects
TL;DR: The authors discuss the potential of peptide array-based kinome profiling for evaluating cellular signalling in the context of drug discovery through analysis of cellular signalling without a priori assumptions to possibly influenced pathways.
