Cholangiography can discriminate sclerosing cholangitis with autoimmune pancreatitis from primary sclerosing cholangitis
Takahiro Nakazawa,Hirotaka Ohara,Hitoshi Sano,Shigeru Aoki,Shinya Kobayashi,Tetsu Okamoto,Hideto Imai,Tomoyuki Nomura,Takashi Joh,Makoto Itoh +9 more
TL;DR: Characteristic cholangiographic features allow discrimination of sclerosing cholANGitis with autoimmune pancreatitis and lymphoplasmacytic scleroses cholangsitis without pancreatitis from primary sclerose cholangeitis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Involvement of the Interaction between p21 and Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen for the Maintenance of G2/M Arrest after DNA Damage
TL;DR: Evidence is demonstrated that p21 plays a regulatory role in the maintenance of cell cycle arrest at G2 by blocking the interaction of Cdc25C with PCNA, which is considered to be exerted during G1 phase of the cell cycle.
Journal ArticleDOI
IL-8 promotes cell proliferation and migration through metalloproteinase-cleavage proHB-EGF in human colon carcinoma cells.
Yusuke Itoh,Takashi Joh,Satoshi Tanida,Makoto Sasaki,Hiromi Kataoka,Keisuke Itoh,Tadayuki Oshima,Naotaka Ogasawara,Shouzo Togawa,Tsuneya Wada,Kubota Hidetsugu,Yoshinori Mori,Hirotaka Ohara,Tomoyuki Nomura,Shigeki Higashiyama,Makoto Itoh +15 more
TL;DR: The data indicate that IL-8 induces cell proliferation and migration by an ADAM-dependent pathway, and that HB-EGF plays an important role as the major ligand for this pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of NAP1, a Regulatory Subunit of IκB Kinase-Related Kinases That Potentiates NF-κB Signaling
Fumitaka Fujita,Yuko Taniguchi,Takashi Kato,Yasuko Narita,Akiko Furuya,Tatsuhiro Ogawa,Hiroaki Sakurai,Takashi Joh,Makoto Itoh,Mireille Delhase,Michael Karin,Makoto Nakanishi +11 more
TL;DR: The NAK-NAP1 complex may protect cells from TNF-α-induced apoptosis by promoting NF-κB activation and NAP1 is defined as an activator of IKK-related kinases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Involvement of the Pro-oncoprotein TLS (Translocated in Liposarcoma) in Nuclear Factor-κB p65-mediated Transcription as a Coactivator
Hiroaki Uranishi,Toshifumi Tetsuka,Mayumi Yamashita,Kaori Asamitsu,Manabu Shimizu,Makoto Itoh,Takashi Okamoto +6 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that translocated in liposarcoma (TLS), also termed FUS, is an interacting molecule of the p65 (RelA) subunit of the transcription factor nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) using a yeast two-hybrid screen and suggests that TLS acts as a coactivator of NF-β and plays a pivotal role in the NF-κBs-mediated transactivation.
