Journal ArticleDOI

Identification and developmental expression of the full complement of Cytochrome P450 genes in Zebrafish

TL;DR: It is revealed that the majority of zebrafish CYP genes are expressed in embryos, with waves of expression of different sets of genes over the course of development, which provides a foundation for the use ofZebrafish as a model in toxicological, pharmacological and chemical disease research.
Journal ArticleDOI

Postoperative corneal swelling correlates strongly to corneal endothelial cell loss after phacoemulsification cataract surgery.

TL;DR: With large variations in theCorneal swelling at the first postoperative day, the degree of permanent corneal endothelial damage was reflected in thedegree of early postoperative cornesal swelling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Basal and 3,3',4,4',5-pentachlorobiphenyl-induced expression of cytochrome P450 1A, 1B and 1C genes in zebrafish.

TL;DR: While CyP1A may have a protective role against AHR agonists in liver and gut, CYP1B1, CYp1C1, and CYP 1C2 may also play endogenous roles in eye and heart and possibly other organs, as well as during development.
Journal ArticleDOI

Role of AHR2 in the Expression of Novel Cytochrome P450 1 Family Genes, Cell Cycle Genes, and Morphological Defects in Developing Zebra Fish Exposed to 3,3′,4,4′,5-Pentachlorobiphenyl or 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin

TL;DR: The results indicate that the four CYP1 genes examined are regulated by A HR2 and that the effect of PCB126 on morphology in zebra fish embryos is AHR2 dependent, and developmental patterns of expression and induction suggest that CYP 1 enzymes could function in normal development and in developmental toxicity of PCB 126 in fish embryos.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heterogeneity of outer membrane proteins in Borrelia burgdorferi: comparison of osp operons of three isolates of different geographic origins.

TL;DR: Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and Western blot analyses confirmed differences between ACAI, Ip90, and the North American strain B31 in their Osp proteins and suggest that the duplication of osp genes in B. burgdorferi occurred before the geographical dispersion of strains represented by ACAI.
