Journal ArticleDOI
A Biomimetic Model of the Electron Transfer between P680 and the TyrZ–His190 Pair of PSII
Fabien Lachaud,Annamaria Quaranta,Yann Pellegrin,Pierre Dorlet,Marie-France Charlot,Sun Un,Winfried Leibl,Ally Aukauloo +7 more
TL;DR: The photogenerated phenoxyl radical has been characterized and opens up the way for a more complete biomimetic model of Photosystem II.
Journal ArticleDOI
Orbital interaction in one-dimensional magnetic compounds
TL;DR: In this article, an orbital justification to the use of the phenomenological spin hamiltonian of the Heisenberg-Dirac-Van Vleck model is given, and the exchange interaction parameter J is expressed as a function of orbital integrals related to the real mechanism of the phenomenon.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectroscopic Characterization of an FeIV Intermediate Generated by Reaction of XO− (X = Cl, Br) with an FeII Complex Bearing a Pentadentate Non-Porphyrinic Ligand − Hydroxylation and Epoxidation Activity
Véronique Balland,Marie-France Charlot,Frédéric Banse,Jean-Jacques Girerd,Tony A. Mattioli,Eckhard Bill,Jean-François Bartoli,Pierrette Battioni,Daniel Mansuy +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the ground state has two unpaired electrons in the two π* orbitals, as known for O2, which is the case for the L5FeIVO]2+ and [L5FeOIVOCH3]3+ complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of the Protonic State of an Imidazole‐Containing Ligand on the Electrochemical and Photophysical Properties of a Ruthenium(II)–Polypyridine‐Type Complex
Annamaria Quaranta,Fabien Lachaud,Christian Herrero,Régis Guillot,Marie-France Charlot,Winfried Leibl,Ally Aukauloo +6 more
TL;DR: Electrochemical data obtained on these complexes indicate almost no potential shift for the Ru(III/II) redox couple, therefore a Coulombic effect between the imidazole ring and the metal centre can be ruled out.
Journal ArticleDOI
Towards a spin coupling model for the Mn4 cluster in Photosystem II.
TL;DR: The X-band EPR spectra of the IR sensitive untreated PSII and of MeOH- and NH(3)-treated PSII from spinach in the S(2)-state are simulated with collinear and rhombic g- and Mn-hyperfine tensors in good agreement with the previously published values determined from EPR and (55)Mn-ENDOR data.
