ICTV Virus Taxonomy Profile: Parvoviridae.
Susan F. Cotmore,Mavis Agbandje-McKenna,Marta Canuti,John A. Chiorini,Anna-Maria Eis-Hübinger,Joseph Hughes,Mario Mietzsch,Sejal Modha,Mylène Ogliastro,Judit J Pénzes,David J. Pintel,Jianming Qiu,Maria Söderlund-Venermo,Peter Tattersall,Peter Tijssen +14 more
TL;DR: Members of the family Parvoviridae are small, resilient, non-enveloped viruses with linear, single-stranded DNA genomes of 4–6 kb, which are genetically limited and are host and/or tissue specific.
Journal ArticleDOI
Arcuate NPY Controls Sympathetic Output and BAT Function via a Relay of Tyrosine Hydroxylase Neurons in the PVN
Yan-Chuan Shi,Yan-Chuan Shi,Jackie Lau,Zhou Lin,Hui Zhang,Lei Zhai,G. Sperk,Regine Heilbronn,Mario Mietzsch,Stefan Weger,Xu-Feng Huang,Ronaldo F. Enriquez,Lesley Castillo,Paul A. Baldock,Lei Zhang,Amanda Sainsbury,Amanda Sainsbury,Amanda Sainsbury,Herbert Herzog,Herbert Herzog,Shu Lin,Shu Lin +21 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that NPY derived from the arcuate nucleus (Arc) is critical for the control of sympathetic outflow and brown adipose tissue (BAT) function and downregulation of uncoupling protein 1 (UCP1) expression in BAT.
Journal ArticleDOI
OneBac: platform for scalable and high-titer production of adeno-associated virus serotype 1-12 vectors for gene therapy.
Mario Mietzsch,Sabrina Grasse,Catherine Zurawski,Stefan Weger,Antonette Bennett,Mavis Agbandje-McKenna,Nicholas Muzyczka,Sergei Zolotukhin,Regine Heilbronn +8 more
TL;DR: For scalable high-titer production of the full range of rAAV serotypes 1-12, OneBac is developed, consisting of stable insect Sf9 cell lines harboring silent copies of AAV1-12 rep and cap genes induced upon infection with a single baculovirus that also carries the rAAv genome.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differential Adeno-Associated Virus Serotype-Specific Interaction Patterns with Synthetic Heparins and Other Glycans
TL;DR: A comparative binding analysis of highly purified, fluorescent-dye-labeled AAV vectors of various serotypes on arrays displaying over 600 different glycans and on a specialized array with natural and synthetic heparins identifies single AAV-discriminating glycan binders.
Journal ArticleDOI
Twenty-Five Years of Structural Parvovirology.
TL;DR: This review focuses on the diversity among the parvoviruses with respect to the transcriptional strategy of the encoded VPs, the advances in capsid structure-function annotation, and therapeutic developments facilitated by the available structures.
