Experimental and ab initio investigations of the x-ray absorption near edge structure of orthorhombic LuMnO3
Y. Hu,Camelia N. Borca,E. Kleymenov,M. Nachtegaal,Bernard Delley,Markus Janousch,Andreas Dönni,Makoto Tachibana,H. Kitazawa,Eiji Takayama-Muromachi,Michel Kenzelmann,Christof Niedermayer,T. Lippert,A. Wokaun,Christof W. Schneider +14 more
TL;DR: X-ray near edge absorption spectroscopy was used to probe the electronic structure of multiferroic orthorhombic LuMnO3 polycrystalline samples as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Measurements of the muon-neutrino mass
TL;DR: The most precise upper limits for the muutrino mass m vμ have been obtained by measuring the muon momentum p μ+ in pion decay π + →μ + ν μ at rest as mentioned in this paper.

TL;DR: The current status of the control system is presented together with some lessons learned for the next generation free electron laser facility in Switzerland.
Journal ArticleDOI
A photon shutter for insertion device front ends at the SLS
Q. Chen,Rafael Abela,H. Auderset,B. Frauenfelder,Markus Janousch,H. Kalt,M. Lange,Bruce D. Patterson,Ming Shi +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the thermal and structural analysis results obtained from a finite element calculation for the material science beamline 4S, which produces the highest power load at the shutter (4 kW, 95 kW/mm 2 ) of all the SLS beamlines, are presented.
