Observation of Weyl nodes in TaAs

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported the direct observation in TaAs of the long-sought-after Weyl nodes by performing bulk-sensitive soft X-ray angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spin structure of the Shockley surface state on Au ( 111 )

TL;DR: In this paper, high-resolution photo-emission experiments performed with a full three-dimensional spin polarimeter provide a detailed image of the resulting spin structure, showing that the spin vector lies in the surface plane and is perpendicular to the momentum of the electrons as expected in a freeelectron model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fermi Surface and Quasiparticle Excitations of Overdoped Tl 2 Ba 2 CuO 6+δ

TL;DR: The high-T(c) superconductor Tl( 2)Ba(2)CuO(6 + delta) is studied by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and the quasiparticle evolution with momentum and binding energy exhibits a marked departure from the behavior observed in under and optimally doped cuprates.
