Journal ArticleDOI

Prefrontal Gray Matter Volume Reduction in First Episode Schizophrenia

TL;DR: The data suggest that prefrontal cortical gray matter volume reduction is selectively present at first hospitalization in schizophrenia but not affective psychosis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective deficits in visual perception and recognition in schizophrenia

TL;DR: Schizophrenia may be accompanied by impaired visual spatial perception and representation, and deficits in trajectory discrimination may reflect a disturbance of the dorsal pathway of the visual system, while disturbances of trajectory recognition performance might reflect a deficit in prefrontal systems involved in visual working memory operations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Amygdala–hippocampal shape differences in schizophrenia: the application of 3D shape models to volumetric MR data

TL;DR: It is suggested that shape provides important new information toward characterizing the pathophysiology of schizophrenia, and that combining volume and shape measures provides improved group discrimination in studies investigating brain abnormalities in schizophrenia.
