Journal ArticleDOI
Quantitative examination of a novel clustering method using magnetic resonance diffusion tensor tractography.
Aristotle N. Voineskos,Lauren J. O'Donnell,Nancy J. Lobaugh,Douglas Markant,Stephanie H. Ameis,Marc Niethammer,Benoit H. Mulsant,Bruce G. Pollock,James L. Kennedy,Carl-Fredrik Westin,Martha E. Shenton,Martha E. Shenton +11 more
TL;DR: The excellent interrater reliability of the clustered method and high agreement with the MROI method, quantitatively and spatially, indicates that the clustering method can be used with confidence.
Book ChapterDOI
Sparse multi-shell diffusion imaging
Yogesh Rathi,Oleg V. Michailovich,Kawin Setsompop,Sylvain Bouix,Martha E. Shenton,Carl-Fredrik Westin +5 more
TL;DR: This work proposes a generalization of the single shell spherical ridgelets basis for sparse representation of multi shell signals and demonstrates its efficacy on several synthetic and in-vivo data sets and performs quantitative comparisons with solid spherical harmonics based representation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Application of automated MRI volumetric measurement techniques to the ventricular system in schizophrenics and normal controls.
Martha E. Shenton,Ron Kikinis,Robert W. McCarley,David Metcalf,James Tieman,Ferenc A. Jolesz +5 more
TL;DR: While no significant differences were noted between groups on volumetric measures of ventricular brain ratio or lateral ventricle size, normals showed a pattern of left greater than right lateral ventricular volume asymmetry not present in the schizophrenics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Olfactory Dysfunction in Schizophrenia: A Review of Neuroanatomy and Psychophysiological Measurements
TL;DR: This article summarizes recent research on neuroimaging changes associated with olfactory impairments in schizophrenia patients and on related functional changes in psychophysiological measurements (e.g., odor identification, odor discrimination, odor detection threshold, and odor memory).
Journal ArticleDOI
Large CSF volume not attributable to ventricular volume in schizotypal personality disorder.
Chandlee C. Dickey,Martha E. Shenton,Yoshio Hirayasu,Iris A. Fischer,Martina M. Voglmaier,Margaret A. Niznikiewicz,Larry J. Seidman,Stephanie Fraone,Robert W. McCarley +8 more
TL;DR: Consistent with many studies of schizophrenia, this examination of schizotypal personality disorder indicated abnormalities in brain CSF volumes.
