Aortic Root Dilatation as a Cause of Isolated, Severe Aortic Regurgitation

TL;DR: In this paper, the relation of aortic root dilatation to regurgitation was evaluated in 102 patients with severe severe acute aortal vascular events, using clinical, echocardiographic, and radionuclide cineangiographic findings.
Journal ArticleDOI

Relation of Ultra-Low Frequency Heart Rate Variability to the Clinical Course of Chronic Aortic Regurgitation

TL;DR: It is concluded that reduced ultra-low frequency HRV measured as SDANN is strongly related to progression to valve surgery in asymptomatic and minimally symptomatic patients with chronic AR.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assessment of arterial compliance by carotid midwall strain-stress relation in hypertension

TL;DR: Stress-corrected midwall strain identifies patients with reduced arterial compliance, increased arterial wall thickness, and abnormal left ventricular geometry better than conventional measures based on arterial lumen diameters.
