Journal ArticleDOI

OIM and X-ray texture analysis of melt-textured YBCO superconductors

TL;DR: In this article, the results of two independent texture measurements on melt-textured Y-Ba-Cu-O (YBCO) high-Tc superconductors are compared with each other.
Journal ArticleDOI

Static and Dynamic Characteristics of Superconducting Magnetic Bearings Using MPMG Y-Ba-Cu-O

TL;DR: In this paper, the static forces of superconducting magnetic bearing at liquid nitrogen temperature were measured and the stiffness of the bearing was found to be rather small, however, both the electromagnetic forces and stiffness could be increased by using a combination of a thrust and radial bearing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Examination of Optimized Pulsed Field Magnetization for a YBCO Bulk Superconductor on Pulsed Field Magnetization Process

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the magnetic flux density on the pulsed field magnetization process and explained the relation between pulsed magnetic field and the time constant of the magnetic invasion and flux flow.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flux pinning in melt-processed ternary (Nd-Eu-Gd) and Nd-based superconductors

TL;DR: In this article, the flux pinning and optimization of melt-processed ternary (Nd-Eu-Gd)Ba/sub 2/Cu/sub 37-x/ bulk materials using magnetization and magneto-transport (quasi-flux transformer technique) measurements were reported.
