Journal ArticleDOI

Continuous Transition of Deformation Modes in Fe-30Mn-5Si-1Al Alloy

TL;DR: In this paper, the surface relief caused by the martensitic transformation, deformation twinning and slip band formation has been analyzed by measuring the surface tilt angles corresponding to each deformation mode by atomic force microscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Melt processing of bulk YBaCuO superconductors with high Jc

TL;DR: A comparison of various melt processes was performed in this paper, where it was found that size control of the Y2 BaCuO5 inclusions is the key to the improvement in Jc values.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic Characterization of Bulk C-Added MgB 2

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of samples produced with different contents of carbon-coated, nanometer-sized amorphous boron was prepared to improve the magnetic properties of MgB2 superconductors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Texture analysis of melt-textured YBCO superconductors

TL;DR: In this article, the results of an X-ray based pole figure texture analysis with the local texture analysis by means of electron-backscatter diffraction (EBSD) analysis were compared.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modification of flux pinning properties of Re-Ba-Cu-O superconductor by fast-neutron and heavy-ion irradiation

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of radiation-induced defects on flux pinning properties was studied with a SQUID magnetometer and they observed an enhancement of critical current and a decrease of magnetic relaxation.
