Journal ArticleDOI
The Spitzer discovery of a galaxy with infrared emission solely due to AGN activity
Sacha Hony,Francisca Kemper,Francisca Kemper,Paul M. Woods,J. Th. van Loon,Varoujan Gorjian,S. C. Madden,Albert A. Zijlstra,Karl D. Gordon,Remy Indebetouw,Massimo Marengo,Margaret Meixner,Pasquale Panuzzo,Bernie Shiao,Gregory C. Sloan,Julia Roman-Duval,James Mullaney,Alexander G. G. M. Tielens +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a galaxy (SAGE1CJ053634) at a redshift of 0.78-722658.5, where the spectrum shows a redshifted (z=0.14+-0.005) silicate emission feature with an exceptionally high feature-to-continuum ratio and weak polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) bands.
Journal ArticleDOI
X-rays in Cepheids: XMM-Newton Observations of $\eta$ Aql.
Nancy Remage Evans,Ignazio Pillitteri,Pierre Kervella,Scott G. Engle,Edward F. Guinan,H. Moritz Günther,Scott J. Wolk,Hilding R. Neilson,Massimo Marengo,Lynn D. Matthews,Sofia P. Moschou,Jeremy J. Drake,Joyce A. Guzik,Alexandre Gallenne,Antoine Mérand,V. Hocdé +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the XMM-Newton satellite was used to obtain an observation of the Cepheid δ-Cepheids at the phase of maximum radius, the phase at which there is a burst of X-rays in $\delta$ Cep.
Journal ArticleDOI
X-Ray Observations of the Peculiar Cepheid V473 Lyr Identify A Low-mass Companion
Nancy Remage Evans,Ignazio Pillitteri,László Molnár,László Szabados,Emese Plachy,Róbert Szabó,Scott G. Engle,Edward F. Guinan,Scott J. Wolk,H. Moritz Günther,Hilding R. Neilson,Massimo Marengo,Lynn D. Matthews,Sofia P. Moschou,Jeremy J. Drake,Vinay L. Kashyap,Pierre Kervella,Tamás Tordai,Peter Somogyi,Gilbert Burki +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors obtained an XMM-Newton observation of V473 Lyr to followup a previous detection in X-rays, which revealed evidence of a low mass companion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Variable Stars in Local Group Galaxies. VI. The Isolated Dwarfs VV 124 and KKr 25
Jillian R. Neeley,Matteo Monelli,Massimo Marengo,Giuliana Fiorentino,A. Katherina Vivas,Alistair R. Walker,Carme Gallart,C. E. Martínez-Vázquez,Giuseppe Bono,Santi Cassisi,Marcella Marconi,Massimo Dall'Ora,Ata Sarajedini +12 more

Spitzer/IRAC Characterization of Galactic AGB Stars
Massimo Marengo,Joseph L. Hora,Pauline Barmby,Steven Willner,Lori E. Allen,M. T. Schuster,Giovanni G. Fazio +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the Spitzer Guaranteed Time Observation (GTO) program was used to observe a sample of AGB stars with IRAC and the results were made available to the community in the form of template magnitudes and colors for each target.
