Supraparticles: Functionality from Uniform Structural Motifs
Susanne Wintzheimer,Tim Granath,Maximilian Oppmann,Thomas Kister,Thibaut Thai,Tobias Kraus,Tobias Kraus,Nicolas Vogel,Karl Mandel,Karl Mandel +9 more
TL;DR: The formation of supraparticles as a result of colloidal properties interplaying with external process parameters is discussed and structure-property and process-structure relationships are established that provide unifying guidelines for the rational design of functional suprap articles with optimized properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expanding the Horizon of Mechanochromic Detection by Luminescent Shear Stress Sensor Supraparticles
Susanne Wintzheimer,Jakob Reichstein,Sarah Wenderoth,Sebastian Hasselmann,Maximilian Oppmann,Marcel T. Seuffert,Klaus Müller-Buschbaum,Karl Mandel +7 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Pushing up the magnetisation values for iron oxide nanoparticles via zinc doping: X-ray studies on the particle's sub-nano structure of different synthesis routes.
Wojciech Szczerba,Wojciech Szczerba,Jan Żukrowski,M. Przybylski,Marcin Sikora,Olga V. Safonova,Aleksey Shmeliov,Valeria Nicolosi,Michael Schneider,Michael Schneider,Tim Granath,Maximilian Oppmann,Marion Straßer,Karl Mandel,Karl Mandel +14 more
TL;DR: Evidence is found that a much more complex picture has to be drawn regarding what happens upon Zn doping compared to what textbooks tell us about the mechanism, demonstrating that it is crucial to study the obtained structures very precisely when "playing with the atomic order in iron oxide nanocrystals".
Journal ArticleDOI
Reusable Superparamagnetic Raspberry‐Like Supraparticle Adsorbers as Instant Cleaning Agents for Ultrafast Dye Removal from Water
Journal ArticleDOI
An all white magnet by combination of electronic properties of a white light emitting MOF with strong magnetic particle systems
Marcel T. Seuffert,Susanne Wintzheimer,Maximilian Oppmann,Tim Granath,Johannes Prieschl,Anas Alrefai,Hans-Jürgen Holdt,Klaus Müller-Buschbaum,Karl Mandel,Karl Mandel +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a multi-component particle system was developed that combines the properties of white color, white light emission and strong magnetism on the macroscopic and microscopic scale, which is constituted by combination of an inorganic white core with either hard or soft magnetic properties and a white light emitting MOF.
