Journal ArticleDOI

Understanding patient sensitization profiles in complex pollen areas: a molecular epidemiological study

TL;DR: Allergy diagnosis in patients exposed to multiple pollen species is complex and misdiagnosis is often a cause for unsuccessful specific immunotherapy, so patients should be screened for pollen allergies before and after immunotherapy.
Journal ArticleDOI

The CREATE Project : development of certified reference materials for allergenic products and validation of methods for their quantification

TL;DR: The aim of the CREATE project was to evaluate the use of recombinant allergens as reference materials and of ELISA assays for major allergen measurements, and gives an overview of the achievements of the project.
Journal Article

Sequence analysis and antigenic cross-reactivity of a venom allergen, antigen 5, from hornets, wasps, and yellow jackets.

TL;DR: The sequence data reveal several conserved and variable regions for vespid Ag 5 that show greater sequence similarity than do the less conserved regions to a family of proteins from human, mouse, and rat testis and to a class of pathogenesis-related proteins from tobacco and tomato leaves.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exosomes from Bronchoalveolar Fluid of Tolerized Mice Prevent Allergic Reaction

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that exosome-based vaccines could represent an alternative to conventional therapy for allergic diseases in humans and induce tolerance and protection against allergic sensitization in mice.
