Journal ArticleDOI
Silicon-chip mid-infrared frequency comb generation
Austin G. Griffith,Ryan K. W. Lau,Jaime Cardenas,Yoshitomo Okawachi,Aseema Mohanty,Romy Fain,Yoon Ho Daniel Lee,Mengjie Yu,Christopher T. Phare,Carl B. Poitras,Alexander L. Gaeta,Michal Lipson +11 more
TL;DR: It is reported that the first on-chip integrated mid-infrared frequency comb using a silicon optical parametric oscillator ring resonator is reported, and a 750-nm-wide comb centered at 2.6 um is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Monolithic lithium niobate photonic circuits for Kerr frequency comb generation and modulation.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that comb generation and second-order functionalities can be monolithically integrated on a single lithium niobate chip, paving the way towards monolithic integrated frequency comb solutions for spectroscopy, data communication, ranging and quantum photonics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Integrated photonics on thin-film lithium niobate
Di Zhu,Linbo Shao,Mengjie Yu,Rebecca Cheng,Boris Desiatov,C. J. Xin,Yaowen Hu,Jeffrey Holzgrafe,Soumya Ghosh,Amirhassan Shams-Ansari,Eric Puma,Neil Sinclair,Christian Reimer,Mian Zhang,Marko Loncar +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a review of the state-of-the-art integrated thin-film LNOI photonics, including the materials, basic passive components, and various active devices based on electro-optics, all-optical nonlinearities, and acousto-optic.
Journal ArticleDOI
Silicon-chip-based mid-infrared dual-comb spectroscopy.
Mengjie Yu,Yoshitomo Okawachi,Austin G. Griffith,Nathalie Picqué,Michal Lipson,Alexander L. Gaeta +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a nanophotonic silicon-on-insulator platform for dual-comb spectroscopy in the mid-infrared (mid-IR) is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
