TL;DR: Functioning above the 90th percentile of the SDQ total difficulties scores in parent-, teacher- and self-reports was strongly associated with help-seeking variables and problematic behaviour according to parents, giving further evidence of the usefulness of theSDQ as a promising screening instrument for epidemiological research and clinical purposes.

Self-reported strengths and difficulties in a community sample of Finnish adolescents.
TL;DR: The psychometric properties of the self-report version of the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire among Finnish 13- to 17-year-old adolescents were studied and provided additional confirmation of the usefulness of the SDQ as a screening instrument in epidemiological research and clinical practice.
