Journal ArticleDOI
On the origin and nature of the grating interferometric dark-field contrast obtained with low-brilliance x-ray sources.
T Koenig,Marcus Zuber,Barbara Trimborn,Tomáš Faragó,Pascal Meyer,Danays Kunka,Frederic Albrecht,Sascha Kreuer,Thomas Volk,Michael Fiederle,Tilo Baumbach +10 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that for tube based setups the underlying process of image formation can be fundamentally different and a dark-field image can indeed be formed by an intra-pixel differential phase contrast that cannot be resolved as such due to a dephasing between the periodicities of the absorption grating and the Talbot carpet.
Journal ArticleDOI
Growth of twin-free CdTe single crystals in a semi-closed vapour phase system
TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate that volatile impurities and excess species are enabled to condense in a heat sink connected to the growth chamber, and the influence of the deep heat sink on interface stability is discussed in terms of growth morphology and formation of inclusions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Compensation of CdTe by Doping With Gallium
V. Babentsov,Victoria Corregidor,J. L. Castaño,Michael Fiederle,T. Feltgen,Klaus-Werner Benz,Ernesto Diéguez +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a semi-insulating CdTe single crystals doped with Ga were grown from the vapour phase by the modified Markov technique MMT and the resistivity map in the cross-sections cut along the growth direction was analyzed in the framework of the three levels Fermi-statistic model.
Journal ArticleDOI
The COCAE Detector: An Instrument for Localization—Identification of Radioactive Sources
C. P. Lambropoulos,Toru Aoki,J. Crocco,Ernesto Diéguez,C. Disch,Alex Fauler,Michael Fiederle,D. Hatzistratis,Volodymyr A. Gnatyuk,K. Karafasoulis,L. A. Kosyachenko,S. N. Levytskyi,D. Loukas,O. L. Maslyanchuk,Artūrs Medvids,Theofanis Orphanoudakis,I. Papadakis,Athanasios Papadimitriou,K. Papakonstantinou,Constantinos Potiriadis,T. Schulman,V. V. Sklyarchuk,K. Spartiotis,G. Theodoratos,O. I. Vlasenko,K. Zachariadou,E. Zervakis +26 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the COCAE project developed an instrument for localization and identification of radioactive sources based on pixilated Cd(Zn)Te matrices in a stacked configuration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dewetted growth of CdTe in microgravity (STS-95)
Michael Fiederle,T. Duffar,V. Babentsov,Klaus-Werner Benz,P. Dusserre,Victoria Corregidor,Ernesto Diéguez,Philippe Delaye,Gérald Roosen,V. Chevrier,Jean-Claude Launay +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, two CdTe crystals had been grown in microgravity during the STS-95 mission and the growth configuration was dedicated to obtain dewetting of the crystals and to achieve high quality material.
