Journal ArticleDOI

Conformal correlators of mixed-symmetry tensors

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors generalize the embedding formalism for conformal field theories to the case of general operators with mixed symmetry, and derive the unitarity bound for arbitrary mixed-symmetry tensors by considering the conservation condition in embedding space.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Kaluza-Klein Melvin Solution in M-theory

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the Kaluza-klein-Melman solution in M-theory and showed that the partition functions of nine-dimensional type IIA strings and of a n-NS Melvin fluxtubes are related by the shift of the magnetic field, and the instabilities of both IIA and 0A Melvin solutions are analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Torons and black hole entropy

TL;DR: In this paper, a supersymmetric system of D-5-branes compactified on T 4 × S 1 with a self-dual background field strength was considered, and the corresponding supergravity solution described a five-dimensional black hole with a regular horizon.
Journal ArticleDOI

Absorption by double-centered D3-branes and the Coulomb branch of Script N = 4 SYM theory

TL;DR: In this article, the authors calculate the classical cross-section for absorption of a minimally coupled scalar in the double-centered D3-brane geometry, which is valid at energy scales much smaller than the W particles mass, giving logarithmic corrections to the crosssection calculated at the IR conformal fixed points.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regge theory in a holographic dual of QCD in the Veneziano limit

TL;DR: In this article, a bottom-up holographic model for QCD in the Veneziano limit is proposed, where the backreaction of the quarks to the gluon dynamics is included.
