Low-Distortion Holographic Data Storage Media Using Free-Radical Ring-Opening Polymerization
Kyongsik Choi,Kyongsik Choi,James W. M. Chon,James W. M. Chon,Min Gu,Min Gu,Nino Malic,Nino Malic,Richard A. Evans,Richard A. Evans,Richard A. Evans +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, a free radical polymerization holographic recording medium, based on low shrink cyclic allylic sulfides (LS-CASs) ring-opening monomers, is proposed and demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
The road to multi-dimensional bit-by-bit optical data storage
Min Gu,Xiangping Li +1 more
TL;DR: The authors discuss the development of a 5-D device that could hold up to 2,000 times more data than a conventional DVD and other milestones on the road to multi-dimensional optical memory with petabyte capacity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of rear located silver nanoparticle induced light losses on the light trapping of silicon wafer-based solar cells
TL;DR: In this paper, the light losses associated with silver nanoparticles integrated with plasmonic back reflectors in silicon wafer solar cells are quantitatively studied for cells with different front surface morphologies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of defocus and primary spherical aberration on three-dimensional coherent transfer functions in confocal microscopes.
Min Gu,Colin J. R. Sheppard +1 more
TL;DR: It is shown that three-dimensional confocal imaging is strongly degraded if the amount of aberration is larger than a quarter wavelength and the compensation of the primary spherical aberration by introducing defocus is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Direct laser writing of three-dimensional photonic structures in Nd:yttrium aluminum garnet laser ceramics
TL;DR: In this paper, direct laser writing of a three-dimensional photonic structure in a neodymium doped yttrium aluminum garnet laser ceramic was reported. But the fabrication of the structure was not considered.
