Synthesis of new chiral heterocyclic Schiff base modulated Cu(II)/Zn(II) complexes: their comparative binding studies with CT-DNA, mononucleotides and cleavage activity.

TL;DR: New Schiff base ligand L derived from the condensation reaction of 2-amino-3-formylchromone with (R)-2- amino-2-phenylethanol was synthesized and characterized which involves combination element of ammine functionality and naturally occurring heterocyclic chromone, 4H-benzopyran-4-one to examine base specific interactions of the transition metal complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI

A multifunctional aminated UiO-67 metal-organic framework for enhancing antitumor cytotoxicity through bimodal drug delivery

TL;DR: FUFP has unique biological abilities in terms of pH-responsiveness, antitumor efficacy, biocompatibility, and simultaneously release hydrophobic and hydrophilic drug at the tumor site, indicating that this composite is a potential and promising carrier, in which provides a new strategy to co-deliver drugs for MOFs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient photocatalytic degradation of methyl violet using two new 3D MOFs directed by different carboxylate spacers

TL;DR: In this article, two highly stable metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) assembled by a flexible 1,4-bis(2-methylimidazol-1-yl)butane (bib), and two different aromatic carboxylate coligands, namely, [Zn(BDC)-OH2)(bib)] (1) and [Cd3(BTC)2(bib)(DMF)3] (2) (H2BDC-OH2 = 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalic
Journal ArticleDOI

Chiral preference of L-tryptophan derived metal-based antitumor agent of late 3d-metal ions (Co(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II)) in comparison to D- and DL-tryptophan analogues: their in vitro reactivity towards CT DNA, 5'-GMP and 5'-TMP.

TL;DR: The results reveal that the extent of DNA binding of l form of copper 2a was greatest in comparison to rest of complexes via electrostatic interaction and it was observed that cleavage reaction involves various oxygen species and superoxide radicals by oxidative cleavage mechanism.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new magnetic adsorbent of eggshell-zeolitic imidazolate framework for highly efficient removal of norfloxacin.

TL;DR: In this paper, the magnetic biocomposite (eggshell-zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) particles were stabilized on the surface of magnetic eggshell (Fe3O4-ES).
